How it works
From the first call to the check
Most claims follow the same six steps. We tell you which one you're on, and what comes next, every time something changes.
- 01
Step 1: First call
You tell us what happened. We tell you whether we can help and what it would cost. Free, and no obligation.
- 02
Step 2: Fee agreement, in writing
If we take it, you sign a short fee agreement that sets out the percentage and how costs work.
- 03
Step 3: Gathering the proof
Crash reports, photos, camera footage, records and witnesses. We get them; you get better.
- 04
Step 4: You get treated
You follow your doctors' advice. We keep the insurers off your phone and track every bill.
- 05
Step 5: Written demand
When we know what the injury cost you, we send the insurer a written demand and negotiate.
- 06
Step 6: Settle, or file suit
Most claims settle. If the offer isn't fair, we talk it through and may file suit. You decide.
Your part
What we ask of you
Keep your appointments
Gaps in treatment are what insurers point to first.
Send us new bills
A photo by text or email is fine. We keep the running total.
Stay off social media
Or at least don't post about the crash, your injuries or your weekends.
Timing
How long, and what it costs
How long will my case take?
A claim that settles before suit often takes several months after treatment ends. One that's filed in court can take a year or more. We'll give you our honest guess after the first month.
Do I have to go to court?
Most clients never do. If your case is filed, you may give a deposition, and we prepare you for it.
What if I want to stop?
You can end our agreement in writing. The agreement explains what happens to the fee and costs if you do.
